What is the purpose of this IIP - Packathon?

The purpose of this IIP - Packathon is to invite Indian and Overseas students, researchers and innovators to inspire creativity and foster innovation. IIP - PACKATHON brings together visionary entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and mentors to collaborate, share knowledge, and push the boundaries of what's possible.

Can participants form teams?

Yes, the participants are expected to form teams of up to three members including at least one team lead.

Can a participant be part of multiple teams?

No, a participant may only register as a member of a single team.

Are employees of IIP eligible to participate?

No, the employees of IIP may not participate in the IIP - Packathon.

Are participants required to register on any specific platform?

Yes, all participants must register on IIP PACKATHON Platform.

What are the Problem Statements for the IIP - Packathon?

How will the IIP - Packathon be organised?

The IIP - Packathon will be organised in two stages. The first stage is a hybrid event for registration, dataset access, and prototype submission. The second stage is for shortlisted teams to showcase their Idea/Prototype at the ISPI - IIP PACKATHON platform.

What is the timeline for the IIP - Packathon?

The IIP - Packathon will take place during a total of 75 days from registration start to final submission.

What needs to be submitted for evaluation?

The developed prototype or idea must be submitted in the final stage as per the selected Problem Statement.

Will there be any jury for evaluation?

Yes, the organisers will appoint a jury comprising experts from various relevant fields.

What are the rewards for selected entries?

Top 3 teams will receive incubation at IIP Delhi and prizes of ₹75,000, ₹50,000, and ₹25,000 respectively.

What are the evaluation criteria?

Evaluation is based on concept, user experience, eco-friendliness, quality standards, and sustainability.

What happens if a participant provides false information?

Providing false information will result in disqualification.

Must participants keep their contact information updated?

Yes, participants must provide accurate contact information and update it whenever required.

Can participants have multiple accounts?

No, only one account per participant and one account per team is allowed.

Is originality of the application important?

Yes, participants must certify originality before submission.

Can participants submit previously published work?

No, participants must submit fresh ideas or works only.

Are there any restrictions on the Idea/Prototype?

The Idea/Prototype must be free from malpractice, counterfeiting, and illegal standards.

Can the Terms and Conditions of the IIP - Packathon change?

Yes, IIP may change the Terms and Conditions as per requirement.
